What kind of livery?

What kind of livery do you all have? I'm lucky enought o be on a yard where I can be completely DIY and independant, yet have jobs done as and when needed if for some reason I can't be there to do it myself, and the yard has lovely staff that you can trust. Do most of you do it all, or are you all full? Just being nosey really.

I rent a bit of a farm so am completely DIY...... on the upside, there are no other horses there, only mine

fully DIY but much like you the YO is happy to bung the odd haynet over etc.

He wont put them out for me but thats coz it's a bit of a walk to the feild and he works full time whilst tring to run a smallholding aswell.

The poor bloke works 20hours a day everyday and he hasnt even got proper planning permission for him to be there yet as until he can show the yard a viable business they wont give permission for him to be there permantnaly

But other owners are very good in helping out as I work different hours every week.

Gutted tho today found out they are putting our livery up slightly in Oct

Always been DIY coz I am poor! The last two yards i've been on which are bigger and property equestrian centres have always got staff to feed/turn out if we are stuck. I've always been lucky and had a friend who can help out when YO can't/wont.

part livery (practically full but no riding or grooming!) I love it loads of time with my horse and still have my freedom

when i was at uni i was on assisted DIY but i had time then

was full livery - didn't like it, didn't feel in control, but that was partly because our yo was very controlling.

moved & went DIY - big change but loved it and got a much better relationship with my horse, who gradually improved from being very institutionalised from being on the big 'faceless' yard.

moved again & went part livery - due to changing jobs, needed morning turnout & rugs done, I muck and feed and ride in the evenings. Happy happy and have a very happy content and 'chatty' horse too.

Full Livery as it suit my work pattern and Tyler is far happier in a settled routine.

Also means that I dotn have to worry if I am doing a 12.5 hour shift and can't get down to Tyler.

DIY, but not on a livery yard. We rent our own land and stables and OH and I do everything between us (although there is another small yard opposite where we have a mutual "keep an eye out for each other's horses" agreement). Couldn't go back to a livery yard again, not even for the sake of improved facilities.

Full livery (but no grooming or riding) because I'm worth it

Seriously, couldn't manage it any other way.
