What length of dressage girth?

I'm investing in a 'new-ish' dressage saddle and need a dressage girth. How do I know what size I need? Is there a conversion from a long girth length to a dressage one?

I don't think so, as it varies betwwen saddles.

If I remember rightly you halve the size of your normal girth and add 2.

hi i was told to take 20 inches off length then should be about right it worked for my treeless saddle anyway
