Well i have groom at 4star level, but now tables have turned, i have a lovley horse, an office job to pay for him, i am trying to compate at BE intro level, but we have written this year off ?
BSJA up to Foxhunter
BE up to Novice
Mounted Games I went to the World Championships a few times
I would have represented England in Horseball as well if they hadn't bought in the stupid rule that women weren't allowed on the international team. They have changed it now.
local shows and did my 1st XC last weekend and loved it!! i want to try hunting this season. and hopefully do some winter SJ. the local riding school holds it and you can qualify for ''David Brooms'' jumping so watch this space!!!! hey im 21 next week so got plenty of years yet to pluck up the courage to go a bit further!!
Competed to JA level Juniors, then went to Foxhunter level senior, before deciding that I wanted to have some young horses to play at local level, would like to BE in the next few years with youngsters........
I do a bit of everything, showing, showjumping, cross country and pony club/riding club. I have done a bit higher on my current horse charlie but he's getting on a bit now (19) so our limit is about 3ft now. I've done a few open classes on millie as she's got a decent jump (done bsja) but i'm not really interested in jumping huge.
i would have loved to have done smaller british eventing on charlie but i think he may be getting a little old so local level ODE's it is
I have competed at county Level showing with old ponio, Mainly stick to riding clubs though, Although would like to try something a bit higher with ben but we will see.
Done county level showing, PN eventing, done 1.05m unaffiliated Sjing and competed upto Nov dressage so far! That has all been on borrowed horses except the showing which was with G, but would like to go to Intermediate eventing with G, want to wear top hat and tails in a 1*!
1 x unaffiliated dressage
1 x BD prelim
1 x local show (clear round SJ, 70 cm SJ and dressage)
I have got some more small SJ lined up as well as a small ODE in the next few weeks.
My aim for next year is to get my horse good enough at SJ to do BE intro, and for me to get better at jumping, so I dont look at a jump that height, and think help!
Dressage up to elementary, unaffiliated show jumping but now just county level showing. Done some riding club one day events and represented the club at Malvern a few times.
Competed up to PC Area standard eventing and show jumping. Now have to wait for a younger horse before I start doing anything more. Would like to get back into eventing but that all depends on what I get!
Advanced eventing and Foxhunter Affiliated Showjumping!!
Now competing Affiliated Dressage at Elementary and BSJA BN and DISC with my two young horses!!
Dressage to Elementary.
Show jumped to 1.30 open level. Represented My University at Nationals, My province at Nationals and Represented Ireland at Student Internationals. I've also groomed at senior internationals and am now helping manage a Junior and a Young Rider who are named on the European teams.
errm well in my pony days I competed up to local level JA classes which were 1m10/1m15. Also did affil dressage on ponies to Elementary. Represented the Island of Jersey in BSJA, Dressage, tretathlon, triathalon and other PC competitions.
On horses competed to 1m30 BSJA and competed affiliated elementary and unaffiliated medium but all BD been on tickets as couldn't afford BD membership once moved to england with uni! Represented Jersey again for BSJA.
Also done University teams and been to nationals twice and was officially in top 15 of GB uni students for dressage and top 20 overall one year (fluke i tell you fluke!!
)
So nothing super special and would like to go further but money just doesn't permit it.
I have done BSJA upto 1.40m level. Did BSJA upto JA level on ponies including winter classics etc. Done one winter A+B qualifier (it scared me to death!!) Done quite a few young rider classes. Brought quite a few horses up through the grades from breaking to foxhunter then sold them as I was broke!!! Done all second rounds in junior's and senior's from British Novice to Foxhunter and done a few young horse classes. I have qualified for most of the BSJA finals in the past like HOYS, POYS, Scope, Blue Chip etc.
I have also done county showing and working hunter, when I was a bit younger.
Done all PC/RC activities and local shows, been on all Pony club teams (dressage, sj, eventing), I even qualified for Sansaw but didn't compete. I have even done things like handy pony and games in the past lol!!
I have qualified for trailblazer finals about 6 times on different horses. I was placed third in 2003, got a few goodies! Also qualified for Equestrian Life working hunter finals 3 times and come reserve champion in 2001. Again won quite a lot of goodies for that one!!
Done quite a lot of eventing and hunter trials when I was on ponies and did a bit on horses. I enjoy eventing but it annoyed me as more often than not the judging was unfair, that is why I did more showjumping.
I have hunted regularly throughout the winter for as long as I can remember, with the South Notts and Readyfield Bloodhounds. I have also done a bit of team chasing with a few people from the Readyfield.
I used to compete most weekend's fri/sat/sun and sometimes a weekday show. (Not on the same horse)
A few of you will know that in November I broke my leg, so I am unable to compete at a high level in sj anymore, I can only jump upto about 1m before my leg is in agony when we land. So I am taking this opportunity to throw myself head first into dressage. I am concentrating on a small number of horses and hopefully working up through the grades like I did in showjumping. I know its going to be hard, but I am a very determined and competitive person!!! I don't expect to go out and win but i would like to eventually get to a decent level. I don't ride any other people horse's any more, just my own. Had to sell an entire yard of showjumpers all at different levels at Xmas when I got the bad news. Well anyway, I've rambled on for long enough now!!! Here's to becoming a proper dressage diva LOL!!!
Oh p.s I am a member of BYRDS, BD, BSJA, PC and BHS.
