What license do I need?

I am thinking of buying a horsebox and ideally want a 3.5 tonne but have seen a nice 7.5 tonne one but was wondering do you need a different license to drive a bigger horse box or can I drive it on my normal car license?

its depends it it is hgv or not. and and what year you passed you car test. im prety sure thats what its based upon. may be wrong!

If you passed your test before 1st Jan 1997 you can drive up to 7.5ton.If after that its 3.5 ton with test for towing and up to 7.5.(obviously need test for above 7.5)
