I did have a 3 horse with living bedford tk. 7.5tn.

but have downgraded to a 3.5tn conversion.

I loved the tk, it got attention where ever it went, horses all loaded and travelled well in it and it was cheap to run/keep on the road.

The hubby drove it not me, which is why I now have a 3.5tn that I can drive on a normal licence.
Main thing with the new one is that it is stalled herringbone, as I hate the travel like in a trailer and have to either back out, or go down the dangerousley narrow ramps.

Volvo FL6 18 ton (only purchased December), before this we had a Ford Cargo 12 ton that we ran for 5 years and only got the Volvo because we needed a larger lorry.

I haven't got one but there is one that made me laugh on ebay. It's not mine so I hopefully won't be told off for advertising but if you search 'fantastic pink 3.5 t horsebox' on ebay it should come up! :D

I had a Leyland Terrier 4 horse no living 7.5 tonner. I thought the world of it, it looked like a shed on wheels but it was the lucky lorry.
Went for scrap and I cried my eyes out because it never let me down.
Now I drive a 2 horse Ivor Willaims (brand new body) LDV flatbed, it's brought me no luck whatsoever.

Oh I had a Terrier up until a couple of years ago. I loved her dearly too - my first 7.5 tonner - people used to try to avoid parking next to her and one child even refused a lift to a show because she didn't want to be seen travelling in such an ancient thing. But she was safe, reliable, the horses were happy and I loved her far more than my current "sensible" lorry with all the mod cons that Delilah d'Lorry didn't have.

this is ours. Isuzu, custom built body with wide side ramp. Great lorry and very roomy in the back.Has a tack locker at the rear and loads of room in front of the horses for trunks etc.

I have a little one like this to, and love the fact that its herrinbone, and the ramp is really light and not at all steep, never had any problems loading ponies including foals and they've always travelled well. Mines got quite a high payload to so can travel my 3 little ones (all under 13.1) at the sametime without being over weight. :) (have been and checked all out on a weigh bridge to make sure)

Could you let me know any details on your lorry please?

I have a Leyland Daf 45 1991. Its brilliant, runs really well and cheap to keep. However I have found it to be slightly narrow in the horse area for my big lad. He has to travel slightly rear facing, which is fine if he is alone but when he brings a friend they seem a bit squashed.
Apart from measuring every box in the country, finding a decent width is tricky.
Mine is 7'4" width and a Ford Cargo that I saw today is 7'9"width which is better but it has a hole in the roof!
