And where did you get if from and how much was it?

My daft mare managed to break her bridle yesterday so I've been looking for a replacement but can't find anything I'm happy with. I have a budget of £50-120, can be a complete bridle or preferably parts sold seperately as I have nosebands already and she wears cob size cheek pieces but full size everything else.

Can anyone recommend affordable makes of bridle? I don't have a huge budget just want the best I can get for my money...

I have a Kate Negus which is amazing but rather expensive and a Rhinegold which I use for everyday It was very stiff and unappealing when I got it 'thrown in' with a horse purchse, but after much TLC it is actually now a nice, soft, supple bridle

For everyday use I have a Jumpers Horse Line (made by the same co. that does Mark Todd range) - was £35 from a local tackshop. Cheap, cheerful but does the job and have no complaints

I want to treat him to a Heritage comfort bridle - but I'm hoping Father Christmas might have been generous!!

I have a Hydrophane for everyday use, and a Jeffries for showing (so very under used!)

Have a look at the Mark Todd ones, they seem really nice, probably best suited to a 'breedy' type of head rather than cob or M&M though.

There is a nice looking Mark Todd Comfort bridle on Equestrian Clearance. It is about £120 I think. I quite fancy one but haven't heard anything about them - anyone?

I have a sabre bridle and a kieffer (actually, I got teh kieffer due to people's comments on HHO!) both lovely, I think the kieffer cost me £80ish- I got it at Badminton.

i've got a Kieffer, it was about £120, but has fancy bits on it - you can get a just as nice plainer Kieffer for £80 to £100. It is really good quality and has a comfort headpiece and really well padded nose/browbands.
There are loads and loads of different styles to choose from - look at the Kieffer website - they can be ordered from Kieffer by any Kieffer stockist. (or you can PM me and I'll try to remember who I ordered mine from!!)

Rauti has an Albion KB which is probably above your budget, but Frodo has a Kieffer (two Kieffers in fact, one for home and one for shows) and they cost around £80, as Roody says Kieffer have an amazing range and come in all prices and they are fantastic quality too (the one he uses at home has been used every single day for the past 5 years -- it used to be Rauti's bridle before I bought the Albion) and is still v.v. good. I did have to replace the browband, but that's only because Frodo wanted a bling one

Wow the Kieffer ones really are nice aren't they!! They even have one with a drop noseband don't see that very often....

I have a stubben which was to be kept for good and a heritage for every day. I use my stubben all the time now as it is just so lovely and supple and looks so nice. I thin you can get one for about 180. \the heritage is nice english leather and around £80 i think.

I have 2 Elevators, bought from their website. I think they were £ 150 ish each without reins. I would prefer the option of a non crank noseband though tbh.

Sabre are a lot cheaper and really, really smart, quality, very nice bridles. I started with a Finesse but Star has a mutant head and Elevator effectively made to measure for me.

I love my Elevators, but the Sabres are extremely good bridles for the price IMO.

Oooh just thought of another. I would kill for a Jefferies IR but again it's the disparity in sizes.

Sorry to slightly hijack, but does anyone know if you can mix and match sizes with them?

I have a Lemetex flash bridle....Think I got it for about £50.
I use it for every day riding and shows as I have looked after it well, lovely bridle and quality leather

I have a GFS bridle which was about £50 I think...not sure why though as if I ever get this pony of mine fit enough to ride her mouth will never be sound enough for a bit anyway lol

Jeffries IR Bridle cavesson no flash was £165, also a copy of this bridle from Ebay. Jeffries show hunter bridle, and a couple of old jeffries bridles.
