What make rubber matting do you use please?

It depends on your budget. I did lots of research before I bought any and ended up with a choice of either Krailburg or Equimat as these were the toughest that I found. I went for equimat as they are light and easy to move on my own. They have proved to be very strong and easy to use but dont come cheap. They also never smell. I have three stables with the thicker mats and three with the thinner.

I think the thicker ones are best. So even if you go for cheaper ones try to go for thicker ones.

The only negative is that they move if they dont fit the stable perfectly because they are light.

yes my equimats moved alot so i got the tylyne's instead. There very heavy thou, and
they do take 2 peeps to move them into place.

Like most people I did a lot of research and would have liked Equi-Mats but budget didn't stretch that far! Anyway I ended up with 18mm black rubber mats from a company called Thornton Rubbber. They advertise as TRM. I've had the mats nearly 5 years, they are heavy but don't move (my friends equi mats do) so even though they take two people to lift them I only completely take them up once a year to pressure wash them and stable so it's not a problem. The stable doesn't smell either

I have 4 stables all with equimat down and we have had the mats down for about 14 years. They are still going strong - and I definitely would recommend Equimat.
A yard where I used to work used the kraiburg matting and this was good - but I have always preferred the Equimat.
i have never had a problem with the Equimat moving. One of the stables most definitely is not a tight fit (it has a 2 - 3" gap around two sides as it came from another stable...) and I have never seen that matting move, even when the lunatic TB was in there on it!!!

Depends on your budget but try farm supplier as the cattle mats tend to be cut to size and are serious durable and soft they are heavy to move but i can get them out my my own and they do tend to be a lot cheaper as farmers will not pay over the odds for anything where as if it is aimed at horses the product tends to me a lot more expensive, so doo look as farm suppliers

We used the thicker equimat for our big draught and it has never budged. Was so impressed that I bought their floor and wall mats for the wagon and am saving up to replace the other stables mats with it.

They usually have a stand at Badminton if you are going and they offer show deals.

The only snag with the equimat type is they need to be cut to fit exactly so will be the wrong goddam size if you move!

I've got Kraiburg in the one box, pricey but excellet quality and Carpetpac ones in the other. Both can be curved up the wall if theres excess negating the need to cut and waste any.
