just wondering about this one? Are they generally in fake burbarry, JW tack, lots of bling and a fluffy sheepskin half pad?

I have a lot of mark todd stuff for my horse (only because i like it) does that make me an equi-chav???

i feel like an equi chav wearing my joules stuff

but i got some as a gift then in a sale, i do feel like people are muttering equi chav when i go past though

deff. the top to toe JW get up wench

all the dressage people have those fluffly half saddle pad things though ?!

i have bling but becuase my personality is very blingey i like the sparkles haha!!

at a local show venue some people do SJing with long stripey socks pulled up over their jods, and are generally very scruffy. i think that is chavvy.

Local show i went to a couple of weeks ago, lady who looked v scruffy. Hair not tied back properly, wearing a dirty, creased polo shirt, horse had a filthy saddle cloth on. and they were competing

yes, up here in the north east im amazed at what people wear to jump in! last week there was a girl entirely in pink casual stuff and pink bridle martingale and saddlecloth on the pony, and lots of the stripy sox everywhere.
ive never come across this before, where im from we had to dress appropriately to compete anywhere!

I wear long stripey socks to keep my knees warm in the winter when I'm riding as they get stiff from the cold ... but I would never where them at a show! It would look really scruffy!

MD is proud to be an equi-chav, though it is not for want of trying otherwise on her parents' behalf! lol

Turns up at the yard wearing:
Trackie bottoms
Hoodie
(Muck boots)
Lots of jewellery
The entire stock of Boots' make-up counter
Burberry cap (occasionally a pink cap!)
Barbie pink mobile phone, set to some annoying 'what the hell are they saying?' tune, covered in dangly ornaments & sparkly bits, used with the chavvy white headphones!

Actually talks in 'cht spk' & says 'innit', 'wounded', 'safe' & 'solid' every other word! Only her pony can understand her a lot of the time!

Pony wears:
Preferably pink or white
Lots of bling
Everything MUST be 'branded', this is crucial to the chav mentality but it must be the right 'brand', one slip up & you're out of the loop forever apparently!

God yes, I almost forgot about the long fluffy stripey socks! Yep.......required!

MD always looks completely 'normal' for shows though & is always, always very clean with perfect hair! Never looks like a scruffy oik, even on the yard!

Yay, i am an equi-chav - I have a pink Joules polo ! Funny, I utterly loathe branded clothes in "real life", but I thought this particular shirt was really cute, and a nice colour (I have plain black jodhs and boots, and a black hat, so a bit of colour in the middle of the outfit makes me feel better !). I've got a baseball cap as well, but its just a navy one from the Countryside Alliance...

You wouldn't catch me dead showing in anything but correct gear, though. Those pink SJ jackets are scary.

[/ QUOTE ]Sorry cant agree with you there....the words dressage and chav dont fit in the same sentence....besides I have a fluffy half saddle pad thing

I did see someone with long dangly earrings on doing a dressage test which is pretty chavvy IMO.

The thing that I think looks more chavvy than anything else is long straggly hair hanging from under a hat....it needs to be tied back.

The most Chavvy thing I have seen is at the yard I do my NVQ. One of the girls wears a pink blouson jacket with her name embroidered in purple on the back. She just helps out at the yard at the weekend!! Why does everyone need to know her name! ? ?

So Chavvy.

loads of people in my area have these but to be fair they do compete so i can sort of see the point but i dont like them personally think they look a bit cheap if not done nicely
