I've just spent 6 hours fussing over my boy and he was a star. Most of the time he was just falling asleep whilst I trimmed, washed, scrubbed, brushed and all the other stuff. He's only 2 (almost 3) and had a few moments of getting annoyed but can't blame him lol. I'm just so pleased with how much he has come on, he's so easy to handle now and do things with, he really is a gentle giant (big chunky cob) and so adorable. He was actually falling asleep in his stable whilst I was tidying up, was so cute! I cannot wait til he is broken next year and I really hope he will be just as relaxed with that.

So what makes your horse awesome? :)

Aww, he looks stunning on your signature!:) umm well my horses ability to put up with just about anybody riding her! a complete novice friend of mine rode her so i cud see what shed be like, with somebody else on her for when judges ride her and bless her she took them round and still worked from behind and looked nice! shell look after anyone :D

He's gourgeous, and so INCREDIBLY clean in your Sig.

Ermm....

Because she's so soppy, and lovely on the ground, and her attitude (apart from when were doing dressage!).

She's on 8 weeks of field rest, and it's made me realise how much she likes me! She bit me the other day because I was flicking over another horse outside her stable (jealouss!), and she always bombs up the field to meet me. And today, the lorry ramp was down by the stables and she DRAGGED me in! (Ballet has refused to travel alone for the past year and a bit - and she DRAGGED me in alone today! - I think she's bored!). And because she's fantastic to cross country and teamchase, and forgives me when I make a mistake! :)

Spanner is awesome, but so fustrating! She's very naughty (only 4), but then theres good days, and it makes it all worth it. She's also very sweet, and hasn't shown a mean side to her. She dotes on human attention. :)

the bottom lip:D no matter what mood im in i just have to look at her all chilled out with her lip nearly touching the floor and it just makes me smile.
my friends 6 yr old twins once said that its where the faries live bless

My horse is awesome because he;
is gorgeous,
very kindly and loves cuddles and fuss and being groomed,
is very genuine and always tries his little heart out,
is bombproof on the roads and i'm sure this has saved our lives a few times,
was there for me to hug when my old shire x passed away a couple of weeks ago,
seems to know if I feel upset and always seems to be extra well behaved for me during those times when I need him to be,

He's not perfect. his annoying trailts are;
that he thinks he's still a racehorse if we go to a show, and gets all stressed out,
occasionally he can be 'on one' and bronk for England (this is happening less frequently I'm pleased to say)

As soon as he starts to relax when we are competing he'll be perfect!

Zoom is awesome coz she is so honest! :) She is actually a bit tricky to ride at times since she is super fizzy and headshakes, but despite the fact that I get alot of backache from the constant jiggy-jogging, she always gives me 100% and tries her best which is all you can ask for.

Having only one eye makes her even more special since she is so brave! Loves her lots :D

It is so amusing you chose that particular term, I sent my OH a text from the stables last night which (honest to God!) simply said "my horse is awesome" :p

The cause of that particular remark had been the combination of some beautiful walk-trot-walk-halt transitions (despite only being backed 8wks) then once I had turned him out he followed me around the field whilst I poo picked... he is such a huge but gracious and soft beast :)

Lots of things make him awesome but I thought I'd share that because it was so apt for me :D

My chap lets me mess about with him - he is a fjord, so needs a bit of mane upkeep! He is just so easy to do, which is such a change from my last horse! He has also given me confidence to jump again - just love him!!!!

Lucy is just increadable. After all she's been through in her life she still seems full of fight. She is just the best pony in the whole world. :p :D :D :D :D

Thanks stormy, I'm hoping all my work means he'll be that clean for tomorrow too :D

enfys - yep, six hours... Trimmed his head, neck, belly, bum, thinned out his knee hair, washed his feather 3 times(!!) along with tail and mane, then had to chalk him up, stable wrap his legs, sort his mane and tail and then cover him from head to foot so he stays clean. Tbh, I could have been quicker but as I had all day, I just took my time. Not that he minded! Which is why he is awesome :D

Awww I love hearing about everyone elses' horses and how they are so intuative (sp?) and 9/10 we love them regardless of any of the bad bits because there's so many good ones :)

Dizz is awesome because although she can be a bat, she can be as steady as a rock when I need her to be (usually lol). And so far..., she hasn't tried to get me off - she argues, but has not attempted to ditch me :D

She's as soft as old mush in the stable, comes up for cuddles when she's not in one of her daft moods :)

D1 says her pony, Little Cob, is awesome just because he is Little Cob :D

Lady is awesome because we never have a dull time, or boring ride
And theres always something to improve on so we're never bored together :)
Plus she give me cuddles and appreciates those marmite sandwiches i make for her :D

Jasper is FULLY AWESOME! He loves being fussed over, groomed and made to look handsome. He tries so hard in whatever I ask of him. I LOVE that pony! x

Your boy is lovely, I bet you cant wait to ride him.
I would say my mare above everything does have a lovely temperament on the whole, very kind and honest, has the odd moment but on the whole is an absolute star.
And well she is awesome because she is so tough as old boots, how she is sound god only knows but she is! :D

Toffee is awesome because she will would given the chance turn her hoof to anything.

And Samba considering I have had her for 5 days and she has a bubba with her, she has come to me two days in a row now whinnying and put her nose in the headcollar and I can lay down on the grass with her. I think shes for keeps. And even if shes too much for me to drive she is gonna be one fun ride. Im a bit smitten hehe. I dont think there is a nasty bone in her body!!

The fact that he almost always makes me smile! Last horse was a real competition horse, felt like I should always be going somewhere with her and she was great, but we had no fun. With Danny, he can be a complete idiot and I just laugh and get on with it, there's no worries.
Came down last night and he was lay down sleeping before we went to do XC! I just stood there grinning at him until he decided he ought to get up (I now have a photo on my phone so I grin like a mad thing whenever I look at my phone xD). He's got such a character :)
We actually jumped some jumps up to 3ft/3ft3 last night and I didn't even realise (biggest I thought was 2'9!) and had so much fun (: Even though he has the odd green moment, it's never malicious and we try again - and if we don't succeed, we go find something more fun! :p

Mine because she is pretty much bombproof, no vehicles, tree fellers etc upset her.
She has an amazing jump, never stops or runs out.
great brakes (big plus)
Always pleased to see me and not fussed for anyone else
Saw off a horse that went for me and my wee boys pony as we were crossing the field. This was the field boss too so it took a lot for her to do it.
beautiful big horse
she actually looks metallic she is so shiny.

Awww.... What a lovely post to think of..

..OK, my turn...because she has taught more than I could of ever imagined and we are not even remotely 'there' yet, i.e I do not hold much control over her!

She has so much character. I am a little scared of her but in a good healthy respect way. She always brings something new the table and I am always learning from her, she is never the same to ride and I have never fallen off so many times just riding around the school! She is just so crafty, clever, devious and scary all at the same time.. lol

Just love her to pieces and when/(if) we finally get going it will be because we have learned and got there together.

x

Magic is awesome simply because he is who he is. :) He is my forever horse. I thank God every day for letting me find him. We have a wonderful relationship.
I trust him completely in everything we do together and I know he trusts me in return. He looks after me always and on the odd occasion when I have fallen off (never his fault I might add!) he is completely mortified that he's lost his mother. :)
My friend (who is not the most sentimental person when it comes to horses) said not so long ago that she was envious of the relationship we had together and that she would love to have that kind of relationship with a horse. Others have said that when I am on the yard, he watches me constantly, always wanting to know where I am. That makes me feel privileged.
He tries his heart out at everything we do together, and even when he is scared to death of something, he will still do it because he wants to please me.
I love my horse so much! :D

He just is awesome! He's was my rock right throughout my teens - kept me sane during exams, been an excuse to sit out and just cry through boy troubles, stopped me from partying too much by needing early morning visits, etc etc. He's so honest and I trust him 100%, I can predict his every move cos I know him inside out. Everyone loves him. He's put up with all the stupid things I've done with him over the years (I often think teenagers shouldn't be allowed horses unsupervised lol), and has never so much as pulled a grumpy face at me. He'd never ever do anything to hurt me.

Watching him get old is heart-breaking, I feel I owe him so much I just hope I can do right by him for the rest of his years :(

Oh Cactus, made me cry! My old boy saw me through a horrid divorce and career ups and downs- will never forget him! So glad you have a 'friend for life'- am sure he appreciates you as much xx

Harvey: Because hes a big spotty gayhead who makes me mad and makes me chuckle all at the same time.

Bonnie: Shes the Heinz Mega Pony!! Showjumping extraordinaire! She was a rescue pony whos learnt to trust people again and how to enjoy being a little girls pony. Shes just the best pony on earth.

Winnie: The 19yo who thinks shes still 4, bred us the best little colt we could've asked for and is the sweetest most genuine and beautiful mare. She deserves a quiet happy retirement and i feel honoured to give it to her.

Otti: He's a cute little foal.. what more does he need to do? :P
x

He has given me so much confidence over the years and I have done lots of things for the first time with him such as my first ever show, going cross country schooling, hacking on my own and hunting. I've nearly had him for five years now and could never part with him. He has a lovely temperament and would happily stand there and be groomed all day. I can hack him anywhere; alone and in company and on any road and trust him even when he does spook. He is my best friend. :)
