Cost should never be the reason for choice of EDT< Vet, Farrier etc. You get who does the best job for your anmals, and stick with them. My EDT charges £35, she is brilliant, properly qualified and fantastic in handling any anmal. I really don't care that the old guy down the road will do it for a tenner, been doing it all his life. No training, no insurance etc.
As some of you know, my husband and I run a carriage hire company. We charge less than anybody else we have come across, because we would rather have a small profit than no profit. people still ask if we can drop our price because 'we are only going x dstance' We then have to explain that we spend two days preparing, we have to travel to them, we still have to pay insurance, feed neds, shoe etc.
