Ok, as a re-cap for those that never see my last post.
Jack was diagnosed, with an enlarged lateral colateral ligament in his stifle.
Treatment was 6 weeks box rest, two weeks turn out and then bought back to work slowly.

He had 7 and a half weeks box rest due to the snow, he has been out for two weeks, so tonight was the night to lunge and see whats what...

He hasnt bloody improved one little bit, he's as lame as he was when i took him to the vets

Has anyones horse had ligament trouble and they've not been any different with box rest etc?

I keep thinking it must be something more then this ligament, but have no idea what. nothing else showed up in xrays and scans

How soul destroying, I'm sorry. Maybe the vet just underestimated how long it would take. I guess we have to wait and see what he/she says next. My best wishes for his recovery x

look at a website called microvet. my horse came in from the field with a ddft injury encompassing 30% of the tendon. after using this machine for 6 weeks and following the gentle walk in-hand exercise, i had her re-scanned. the vet was amazed. after a total of 4months my mare was back in work, with no scarring and the tendon had healed completely. its an amazing machine that can be used for any injury or soreness. take a look and give mr thirkel a ring...you wont regret it..x
