What noseband in WH?

Daughter is considering taking Little Cob into the WH class tomorrow. Never done it, though have watched a few.

She normally rides in a grackle, but am I right in thinking she should have a cavesson instead? He gets his tongue over the bit and waves his tongue at people, hence the grackle.

In most WH classes now, you are not knocked down whatever tack you use, at the end of the day the horse has to be workmanlike and if thats the tack that works for him then go ahead althou you may see more flashes rather than grackles to be honest.

I'd keep him in the grackle if he goes better in it.

It's usual to wear a plain fairly wide cavesson but if you're a bit worried wear what you normally do it won't harm.

You will see WHP's in grackles, its generally any suitable bridle, unless under particular novice rules.
