:confused::confused::eek:

This is bulling, end of. Pictures are taken in public places (show warmups). They themselves demonstrate in public their technique. Astrid has reported on shows, expressing her opinion, which her readers can take or leave. To put this through the courts is insane, especially because Anky and Sjef are very, very wealthy, and Astrid certainly isn't!

They sound like a couple of spoilt brats who are annoyed at not being able to squash Apples into submission. I always think if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to be defensive about, so......go figure......

uhm..tbh it's eurodressages site (probably written by the person being sued) and with no evidence that those are the quotes or what she has been writing back. Sorry but very one sided view and not one I would take seriously without both sides arguements..

The thing is though that Anky and Sjef have openly displayed Rollkur and have openly demonstrated it - so then why moan when pictures of them practising this are used on Eurodressage?

I do agree in that as the artical is obviously written by ED then we dont know if the comments of what Sjef has apparently said are true or not. However it does seem totally pathetic that Sjef and Anky - two of the richest riders in the world - are sueing ED over something so pathetic that they themselves openly ''invented'' in the first place.

I've always liked Anky as a person and business woman, and she and Sjef came across very well when she did the national convention in 2006.

And a lot of what Astrid writes is simply opinion, and she's not always been nice about Anky, but she's not nice about a lot of people! ;). But she's a journalist maintaining a free website funded by advertising, and doing a good job (no one else is doing it!). Anky and Sjef are multimillionaire sports people with a huge clothing business thrown in. Not a fair match. :mad:

If the quotes aren't true & there is already an ongoing court case then Astrid would be very silly to print them, so I'm inclined to believe that they are true. Seems an odd choice to sue now as Astrid hasn't written much about Anky lately but hey ho.

Apparently it goes to court on the 8th. I gather this is about pictures used with mention of rollkur rather than words. Hardly new that pictures of Anky's horses have been used to illustrate articles on the subject.
But one gets the impression that this time, taking this sort of drastic action may be 'shooting oneself in the foot' ? It is not going down at all well in Holland I hear!

Don't know why they're bothering with court as they seem to be slugging it out in the public domain anyway!
