re H&H news item ,why were those poor fiords allowed to be reurned to their owner? something should be done about it, seeing as some were starved and had ragwort poisoning. its terrible
I cant imagine how the lady feels who nursed them back to health
Clearly the court had no real understanding of horse matters
I thought the Ragwort Code of Practice should have provided more 'teeth', it states that you cannot use grazing animals to control a field of ragwort, plus the Weeds Act 1959. Did the prosecutor fail the horses--agree it IS terrible
The guy is a ba5tard but let it be known that those of us local to him are watching him, its a pity that we never even noticed this was happening before it was too late but the guys life will now be hell!
As a fjord owner, I find it cruel irony that fjord owners are encouraged by the Fjord Society to breed only pure bred, six generation DNA tested ponies, or they are struck off the society's register, yet this guy is allowed to kill and mis-treat his and, yet, he gets them back!
I, for one, are more than happy for his neighbours to make his future life hell.
Totally agree with you and think the Sherriff dealing with this case who handed the ponies back should be hung up by the short and curly's, the twat would prob impose a prison sentence on some one driving over the speed limit yet thinks its ok to hand ponies back to this murderous monster, I personally hope the guy rots in hell even then it would be too good no excuses can excuse what he has done.

These horses live not too far from me, and locally we're all appalled that he got them back - he got off far too lightly through the courts.

Same here, Im in the area as well and its utterly sickening he is allowed to keep them. He obviously doesnt think he's done wrong as he refuses to even hand back the paperwork to the society after he's stood down!
