I am currently waiting for 12 internal stable. They were first going to be delivered on 23/02/2012. The order went in early February and I put my deposit down on 07/02/2012. Since then I have be plagued with excuses like Plastic boaring not turning up. Other jobs ahead of me in the queue which haddn't been waiting for stables as long as I had. Other jobs have over run. A wedding and not being fit to drive the next day. Staff being ill/understaffed.

I have requested that he just send a lorry with the stables and we would install them our selves. But I was told a job had overrun and the lorry was required to deliver corrected parts to that job.
I have also offered to go and collect said stables and been told that is not part of their policy!

I have now got NFU involved and I was told that he would come over the weekend with some stuff so we didn't think he was a charloton and to prove that he was a man of his word. And that the stables would be delivered and installed on Tuesday. But so far I have not heard anything from him since last Tuesday.

I guess what I am asking is... Am I the only person who has/is having problems with Cheval Liberte or have other people had these issues and if they have how did they get resolved and did you get your stables in the end?

Thanks

Hannah

Well 8 weeks on I have finally given up and am getting my deposit back (hopefully). On Monday I was supposed to have some stables delivered but 6 arrive with the incorrect doors! The incompetence of this company is unbelievable!! If anyone has ordered pending I would be very worried!!

Hi NO you are certainly not the only person to have problems with Cheval Liberte. I had one of their top of the range barns build about 3 1/2 years ago. It was so protracted and every excuse under the sun was used. I had so many quality problems the list was endless. After just a short time all the metal work is rusting, the roof it lifting off the supports and it is looking very shabby. I have been promised numerous times by the proprietor that they will come back to sort it out but true to form they never appear. I call and email but get nowhere. I personally will never have anything to do with them and I would never recommend them or their products. I wish to god I had never done business with them. My advice from my experience is...run a mile!!!!

Not as extreme as yours but I sent my trailer plate to them to be replated in feb and have still not received it back. I have phoned and emailed so many times and been promised it's sat in front of them in an envelope ready to post and they would send it that day... Still nothing!

Set the husband into it now as he's not as much of a push over as me ;)

If you are dealing with CL in Wales then good luck! I had a 2007 trailer the plywood floor went through with my horse on board. Turned out CL knew about the substandard floors but I got charged for a replacement. After a lot of consumer pressure CL Wales did admit prob and agreed to check 2007-2008 affected trailer floors and replace FOC if nec. It's taken until this week for me to get a refund from CL for monies paid out in Dec 2010 (7 months after first requesting refund). I've had one excuse after another from Wales can't believe their complete and utter lack of customer care. The Dealership however were fantastic can't praise them enough.

Yes it was CL Wales. I can not understand how they are still in business. They do not have a customer service mentality which is pretty vital if the product is not durable. The biggest issue is that promises are almost always broken.

Suggest you give Consumer Direct/Trading Standards a call. The more complaints they get about a company the more likely they are to take action.
