What product is the best for getting stains out of white socks?

Oooohh I have a piebald with white socks and other white bits my tips would be:
1st use DUNGAWAY as a pre wash sold in lots of equestrian outlets
2dn use Carr Day and Martin Gallop Stain Removing Shampoo also easy to get ahold of but make sure you get the stain removing type
finally use the Carr Day and Martin Coat Whitener which is a very concentrated shampoo
If they are very badly stained do this maybe three times in the space of two weeks and they should come up good as new!!

The real trick is to keep on top of them ie wash them relatively often and it is very helpful to use a conditioner as well as it keeps the dirt from sticking either a horse one or I just use Johnsons baby conditioner.

If you are really desperate there is a type of chalk stuff that show people use that you paint on and then brush off but following the routine above I have never had to use it.

The people on my yard look at me funny when I bring out my bucket with ten types of shampoo but then again my ponys socks are actually white, so mission accomplished!!!

Good Luck!!

Dilute soultion of hibiscrub! It's been the only thing that can clean the hind legs on the grey to the right of my sig - he is truly disgusting! I've not found a whitening shampoo that can touch it!

I wash with teso aloevera shanpoo twice then paint then with chalk and brush tthe excess off when dry - works a treat!

Add 50% arial excel gel to your shampoo or mix it with green fairy liquid - gets my hairies legs to come up snowy white, I also add equine blue if they are looking slightly yellow as well.

I've tried a number of the best equine shampoos at much cost....
I've tried fairy liquid and persil (probably not the best idea from a skin point of view).
I tried Tres Semme recently and I was amazed - The best results of all and great value! Lovely smell too......
This is what I will stick to, followed by chalk or whitener spray for shows (you can buy the spray in tack shops).
You might have to clip your horse's legs if you find that some of the stains are as a result of the winter and are ingrained.
