Help, I have a 15.3 maxi cob and a 18 hand hann xID and I am fed up with trying different makes of rug. So what do you use on yours? Weatherbeeta show their bellys, Rambo rub their shoulders , just bought a light weight Fal pro to try. I don't like the quality of rugs from the big horse rug company. Any ideas?

18hh gelderlander x and 17hh welsh sec d both have masta rugs and have no problems. Nice and long and big shoulder vents. Not expensive but do a good job.

The big horse shop - google them they are designed purely for big breeds and the only ones to go round my friesian.

Thank you everyone for your help. Looks like I need to try Premier Equine, can anyone tell me if they have nice long necks ? I was also concerned because I have heard that they can get heavy when wet. Is that the case? I have purchased a Fal Pro Chieftan to try but a friend has told me Fal Pro are not as good as they use to be.

Yes, the neck is very long and generous. I have a 17hh WB with a large crested neck and PE fit him perfectly. They're also elasticated at the top to stop wind and rain blowing down :)

I have a 17.2 shire x. He is very broad on the shoulders and bulky. PE were tight on him, shires were ok ish, best have been Rambo duo.
