i got a full clipped legs included irish x pony 14.3 and of a night stables he is in a cooler summer sheet and a 300g half neck stable rug and of a day out in field regardless of the weather he wears a summer sheet and a 250g standard neck hope this helps
Heavy weight cotton sheet at night, naked during the day. Clip is nearly grown out though. She is a Belgium draught x and is a very warm horse in general.
Mine has fading out hunter clip atm...he's got a lw stable rug underneath and mw stable rug on top of that at night. Usually just have the lw on during the day atm, or a mw turnout rug if he's turned out when the weather's bad. Though have turned out naked on the rare sunny days we've had
welsh d x tb, blanket clip, mw full neck turnout during day, hw stable no neck at night. Serious rugging compared to you lot and your hardy bunch!! He had a slight shiver on yesterday when I brought him in so he's def not over rugged. It is bloomin cold up here on the hill though! If we lived off the hill I think he would be in mw at night and lw during day tbh!
ets, my full tb is unclipped and hairy as a yak and rugged the same, although she has her neck up at night too!
My ISH has a blanket clip and has a LW no fill turnout on during the day. During the week she has had it on at night too while stabled (dont have to pay for rug change when YO turns her out in the morning) and weekend nights she is in a LW stable rug. She was last clipped after xmas so is perfectly happy with this temp and could probably go out naked in the day but she'd be so muddy!
Winnie is in a LW at night and naked during the day he is a very heavy weight and this is the first year hes been clipped so norm no rug at all. So I am mean too.
my blanket clipped tb is naked 24/7 (first time tonight was in a fleece at night before that), my fully clipped tb is only in a lw stable and lw turnout
Holstein was fully clipped and wears a sheet with a lightweight at night and rambo 100g during day, no neck. Ponies (polo) are in 40gbulldogs day and night, had a mix of trace to full clip, tbs and 2 Dutch are in m/w with neck in field and mw without neck at night.
And here is my evil bit- 3 older horses (15yrs +) 2 tb and 1 tbx are all out naked and have been all winter, i did feel v.bad in the snow
warmblood cross, lightweight amigo turnout (with neck if rain forecast) during day and lightweight stable at night. if turnout is wet she keeps it on in the stable as we have nowhere to dry rugs....
Fully clipped (legs, head, the lot) ISH (mainly tb!), out in either rainsheet or mw no neck during the day. And 150g stable rug at night. They are good rugs though, so she's warm as toast.
Hunter clipped IDxTB is out in a no fill Amigo TO during the day (neck cover on if it's really raining) and fleece overnight in stable. He's going to start going out naked during the day over the next week I think.
Shire Tb x - naked day and night (but in stable). She started sweating in her night rug as it got a bit warmer she is a hot horse and her clip was done in November.
3/4 TB 1/4 Shire - full clip in November - now not rugged but stabled (no rug) at night
AA - trace clip - now not rugged but stabled (no rug) at night
KWPN - bib clip - has lightweight on if wet and/or windy and fleece at night if he's chilly.
