What rugs are your natives in (if any)

Highland cross native type (retired). Naked as always -unless there are relentless cold wet and windy conditions for days on end. You never know it might help him to lose weight. Unfortunately there is no sign of this happening yet though.

My Highland is in a MW rug. She is fully clipped and stabled at night in a MW stable rug. If she wasn't clipped and was living out I would only bother with a rug on the very worst days.

My Sec D 3yo has been in his WB Arion turnout the last few days but normally he's naked in the day & either naked at night or wears a lightweight stable rug if the wind blows into his box.

My ID is an embarrassment! He had a hunter clip in October but a lot of it's grown back (he doesn't get much coat though). In the day he has a HW full neck turnout over a lightweight stable rug. In the stable tonight he has a 150g rug, a 400g full neck rug, a thermatex & then over all that a 340g stable rug. And thermatex leg wraps

. He thinks that's comfy, I think it's ridiculous but have to admit that he doesn' feel any warmer (if as warm) as the Sec D. He will lose the leg warmers & a couple of layers when the weather gets warmer

Wouldn't a MW plus a LW be warmer than a HW - due to the extra layers?

He only has a LW on because his MW leaks! When i say lightweight, it really is just a thin layer, no filling, just to keep the rain of the leaky MW!
