Heaviest rugs I use are 350gr polyfill, and I like the fit of Weatherbeater and Shires rugs.

Although I do have a selection of others in various sizes too.

Plenty of spares should they be needed.

Turnout rugs are Shires, Rambo and Equiservis (local horsey shops own make) and stable rugs are shires and a couple of other cheap ones. I don't see much point in spending a fortune on stable rugs as they don't have to suffer the weather like turn out rugs. 300g is 300g whether you spend £20 or £200.

I use Weatherbeeta mostly but have Mark Todd MWs, Amigo LW and a Shires MW stable which fit wells too. Am hoping to buy a Rhino HW stable soon too.

Yep. My one boy doesn't respect rugs so is always costing me money in repairs :p x

Fal, lovely and warm, makes their coats shine, breathable and very durable....my first one I bought in 2001 and is still going strong with no repairs :-)

I have only one branded rug, its an amigo lightweight, its brilliant.
I also buy unbranded off ebay as I found a particular sellers rugs excellent quality and a real bargain, think they are 'axiom' what ever brand that is lol! But they are fab

ETS: Just realised I have had a weatherbeeta stable rug, had it for years and years now, its a medium quilt and been a good buy

Rambo's, Amigos and Rhinos are perfect on my lad.

Mark Todd's, Shires and Weatherbeeta's are just too big on him.

People have recommended a FAL so i might try one next time i go and buy a rug?

My TO rug is a brand name, but I can't remember which one!

Most of the rest of them are unbranded cheap rugs that I bought online - I didn't want to buy expensive rugs if the horse was likely to destroy them! Thankfully he's very good with his rugs, although he lays in his poo and gets them very messy!

Rambo, Rhino, just bought premier equine ones this year which I am very pleased with. Also bought a swish one too which is good quality. Don't like Amigo ones or Mark Todd both fell apart or leaked with not very much use.

weatherbeeta rub on mine (the originals lasted well and fited but the new style are terrible including the stable rugs - slide back and pinch the withers or pull on the shoulders)
i have slumberdown (branch of fal that isn't made now?) for one horse, waterproofness went on the other slumberdown even with reproofing and it ripped easily (could see a difference in the material so think the manufacturing changed)
IV horse is on my other horse.
I have IV horse rain sheets - fit well, waterproof until scottish rain kicks in.
I have a ruggles rug and am just ordering another (so the horses have one each)
Shires have fitted ok - just changed the style i wanted (wanted detachable neck rugs)

Rambo Turnouts, Amigo stables. and I like Thermatexs too.
Although i ordered a premier equine 40g yesterday since horsewear dont do a rug inbetween rainsheet and medium.
My lot are spoilt but I think its worth it if they last for years.
