What rugs have we all got on tonight?

Top of the Pennines, 30 yr old cob - no rug! It's dry and not particularly windy, she is plenty warm enough and she will be fine. She did have a middleweight rug on last night though, as we were expecting rain.
The two younger ones are also unrugged.

Oh, and since you asked . . . I am currently wearing a cotton nightie and two fleece throws . . . later I'll move upstairs to a very warm duckdown duvet.

P

A slightly soggy rain sheet, which has been on him all day and I am glad I left it on this morn. I have, however, moved him into a paddock with slightly more grass after the racket he was making for his dinner. He will get dragged out off there at 6am though and back into the nibbly paddock.

Mine are naked. My TB is the first to let me know if she is cold. She barely raised her head up to me this evening! Felt warm enough so left her to it.

I have got her no fill and a fleece ready if she needs them though.

Blimey, everyone is rugging already! Only 2 rugged out of whole yard of 22. All living out, includes Arabs, ISHs, tbx's. The 2 which are rugged are in light weight amigos. One is a wimpy warmblood. One is a very fine pony. Rest are all fine.

I have one in a lightweight, the other 9 are naked and will stay that way for some time its only September if they start wearing rugs now what will they need when winter arrives and they are clipped.

Nothing! Both are unclipped, and not competing or working hard enough to need it. It isn't wet or windy or wintry here.

My show horses are in light weights and a couple of the others too. The rest are naked and seem quite happy. I haven't sorted out their coats yet!

They are all out with no rugs. It is not raining and the nights are still quite short. I prefer to save rugging for winter, when it can get really foul.

Nuffink. He was in a fly sheet until Saturday, when I took it off because he was too hot. I want his coat to hurry up and come in so I can clip and make him a bit more comfortable - he's already too hot but there isn't enough to clip!

our Haffy and Welsh sec d have nothing on - we are in the NW so chilly and has been raining tho dry now. Ours have grown their winter coats - in fact my haffy - his winter coat is slightly thinker and darker but not thick by any means had a MW on last winter -15 degrees and actually started shedding his coat big time - he was too hot! so this year will only use a LW rug in the worst of weather - they are in a field with access to shelter and dont go in it till we take them in and shut the door!! They like the outdoor life!!

Thin fleece and sweet itch rug for my New Forest tonight :) Think its supposed to be down to around 8oC tonight and he was cold with just a s/i rug on! During the day he'll have a rain sheet over sweet itch rug if its terrential rain as it takes a while for s/i rug to dry!

Oh gosh I was at the yard til late, it was tipping down and the wind was howling horse felt cold so chucked an under rug under his lightweight stable rug which he has been wearing all summer when the evenings have been a bit cool. I feel like he is over rugged compared to everyone else but he is a very thin skinned TB who still has his summer coat which I'm trying to keep as long as possible! Nothing else on the yard has a rug on but they are all starting to sprout heavy coats- I'm trying to put off clipping my lad as long as possible!
