What rugs have you horses got on?

Mines in 2 l/ws at the moment as waiting for his new Shires Stormbreaker Combo to arrive. Up until last week he just had one l/w on but I felt guilty when I went down to feed him about 5:30 and found him in the hedge freezing. Couldn't sleep that night! When it gets really cold he'll be being layered up with a underblanket and fleeces.

My two (paintxcob and welsh c) are in med t/o in the field and mw stables when they come in. They are in a stone barn (divided into large pens) and since its been frosty at night we have closed on the of huge wooden doors so its warmer for them, to avoid having to step up the stable rugs just yet. Out of the two of them its the welshie that feels the cold!

Monty is tb x connemara and 27 yrs old, he has a blanket clip so atm he is wearing his medium weight turnout rug (with neck cover) and his medium weight turnout rig.

Pug is Irish draught x Connemara and isn't clipped but he has a really fine coat atm he is wearing his light weight stable rug and is very snug in it and his medium weight turnout rug.

linx has a 170g turnout with neck cover ('h/w' as its the only 1 i have) & he will have that on till xmas hopefully if it doesnt get any colder. in the stable he has gone from 110g combo under-rug to a 220g stable rug to a 300g stable rug to wearing his 110g combo & 220g stable rug as its been so cold, he is fully clipped native but one who gets very cold. i am determined to get to atleast January before putting his 425g rug on!

D is fully clipped with a full neck HW stable rug & when frosty his lw masta stable under it. He also has stable wraps on all legs.

The Tank has a blanket clip & a MW high neck on.

TB has his heavy standard neck on. Clipped natives have their heavies on with attached necks. Unclipped natives have nothing on, although were rugged during that very windy wet time last week. If standing about at shows, Ive found Ive been putting on their full neck HW stable rug, but then they're clipped and it is so chilly up here now!

Baron has a hunter clip and is in a MW full neck turnout in the day and at night he has a HW stable rug on at night. I did try a MW with a fleece under but he was sweating in it so I think I will leave the layering until it gets really cold.

I will be giving him a full clip in a few weeks (hes due his second clip) and he will then be in his HW turnout, but it will be colder then aswell.

Mine is unlcipped at the mo, so still wearing her Boett rug. I plan to clip end of week and then she'll have MW T/O with nect and then Full neck indoors (thick) and thin stable rug on top

I have two unclipped natives, neither are wearing rugs during the day yet and are out in light weight turnouts over night to keep the chill off them, but it's still quite warm here

Medium weight, with necks on the fully clipped, otherwise without necks. They wear the same rugs in the stables, hate putting cold rugs on horses! (they do get checked for rubbing regularly!)
Will not go to heavy weight until January probably
