Hi,
I have just got a new horse who is lots bigger than Ollie (my old horse) and has a much bigger jump. I am now finding that when he jumps i am catching my bum on the back of the saddle. I have been avised to get a second hand close contact flat seated saddle. I thought of maybe a stubbern but has anyone any other ideas? i dont have much to spend? Thanks

excelle are v nice if you want a flat seated single flap jumping saddle

I'd agree that you need a flatter seat - my GP saddle tended to tip me up when jumping and am much more stable with a flat, close contact. I have a Jeffries but it really depend on how much you have to spend and what is comfortable for you.

I personally don't like to Stubben saddles, although like their bridles. Albions and Bates are nice but you are looking from around £500 for a second hand one.
