What saddles do you all have for your id/tb's/ISH's???

My ID x TB mare looks perfectly normal to me but finding a saddle for her last year was a nightmare - I must have tried at least 16 saddles and not one of them fitted properly, she is wide barrelled but high withered.

Eventually I found an Ideal Pro Event (medium width) and it fits like a dream, is incredibly comfy and fits me too!

So, another vote for Ideal, its a lovely saddle, really easy to clean and still looks good now.

Not sure what type of saddle you are loking for- I Have Amerigo Dressage Saddles (close contact on one and Alto on the other). For just general hacking out/faster work I use a M-W Fit Meadowcreek Event GP- Which I must admit is really comfortable and not too bulky plus it was good price too-

Big irish horses take such a long time to mature and muscle up and grow into themselves sometimes I'm not surprised you've got thru a lot of saddles. I've lost count of the amount of saddles one of my horses got thru!- 1 is I.D X TB and the other ISH (I.D X T.B X Clydesdale).

If you are looking for a GP the Ideal Apex ones fit quite nicely too and have fairly big saddle flaps. Good luck though!

The black country range all fitted my tb/id hes medium wide with very high withers so may be worth a look

Ive had Albions, fitted me but always a night mare for horsingtons! so have got rid of.
I have a Fusion jumping saddle which I am MOST impressed with! its flocked and not gel filled so not as close contact as some which I prefer. I had a Barnsby GP on my first horse who was Irish. He was Impossible to fit and they were v patient. I am trying a Barrie Swain dressage this weekend!!
Only selling the Wintec as I want a leather "collection"!!!!
