What shall I do with baby horse today...?

Ok, so I have YO's baby 4 year old mare to play with this evening

She has been lunged and ridden out a few times, also done little bit of schooling and jumping (not that recently tho). Seems a sensible sort - (famous last words!)

So what do you think I should do with her this evening bearing in mind I've never sat on her before? YO suggests lungeing her before riding which I was going to do anyway; think she normally uses a Pessoa - or would side/running reins be better? Then I thought I might have a play in the school for a few minutes?

Well if she's that little used to doing things and not used to you at all then I'd lunge her in whatever she normally wears and then play in the school - I certainly wouldn't go changing things just for the heck of it, not until she's used to you anyway!

You could whilst you are lunging do abit of free lunging over some jumps

i love to watch them jump on there own
