Ive been sat here for the last hour debating what to do... and I still cant decide!

Do I.....

a)Be kind to my horse and leave him in tonight as hes been out all day in the rain and im beginning to feel a bit sorry for him and the weatherforecast for tonight in my area isnt that brilliant though still quite warm. But il be riding with my friend tomorrow morning but she only comes up about 10:15 and by that times hes very bored and wants to be back in the field

or

b) Go up now, let him dry off while he eats his tea (with warm water added

) put him back out with a dry rug and let him toughen up a bit in the field

what are you lot doing with your neddies tonight???

Mine will be out tonight with no rug on as quite warm...but he has access to a field stable and can get in away from the weather when he wants.
If I wanted to ride in the morning I would be tempted to dry him off and put a rain sheet on tonight...if they are dry they tend to stay warm.

I have a really hard time understanding why anyone would think they are being kind to their horse by shoving it in a stable for hours on end.

dry him off, rug him up (so if it rains all night he'll be dry so you can ride) and stick him out. It's not cold.

That said I shall be bringing my friend's delicate little TB in tonight, because she doesn't like being wet bless her....

hehe neither does mine... hes a big wimpy TB too. Who refuses to move out from under a tree all day even to eat any grass so hes doesnt get wet
when you bring him in, he put his head behind you to shelter himself or has his head between his knees.

If i was to bring him in, it wouldnt be until 9ish but i think il leave him out

Chucking down here in Bonnie Scotland too so both my wimpy TBs will be ready to come in tonight!

I would bring yours in to dry off then put a light rug on when you turn him out overnight so you can ride in the morning!

If they're shivering then chuck a rug on and chuck them out, if they're not shivering, then just leave them (says she that put on a lw tonight lol)
