What should i be asking and doing on my quest for a trailer?

im going to view a trailer on the weekend and have no experience buying one ? what should i be checking around/in the trailer to make sure its worthy of using? any advice or questions i should ask will be helpful .

Floor, electrics, what the chassis underneath looks like, do all doors work, what are the tyres like etc

and just because I am nasty, mean spirited and suspicious. Take a note of the serial number and check its not stolen!

Check the sides too, mine had rotten sides when i bought it
