i put my horse out on loan while at university but have just heard that the woman loaning him has been point to pointing him (i specifically asked her not to) and been doing almost no flatwork

He's only a baby and his flatwork was getting v good when i left for uni and he had calmed down so much now im panicking that all the hard work i did with him will all be undone

I am so upset as i really trusted this woman to bring him on slowly and now im thinking that this may not be the case. Should i take him back and try to find somone else for him? I really need some advice, as right now i am just in a bit of a panic!! thankyou

If you know that this is definately true I would take him back straight away. I wouldn't think twice! I own a 4 yr old and if I was in your position i'd knock her lights out too!!!

Well she's had him for a year so i think im being told abt last season (naturally when i saw him in the holidays i was told nothing about it). She did say that she had arranged to use somone else's indoor school as hers was flooded, but apparently no one has actually seen her use it. Im obviously going to phone her and ask directly but need to calm down first!!!

If you are not happy, and you are sure she is doing things you don't like with your horse (P2P) then it's time to take your horse back. I'd be very unhappy if I were you.

I dont think the p-t-p season has started yet?
Did you write it into the contact what she could and couldnt do with him?

Thats what I thought???
I wouldnt worry about him being ruined, I intend to P2P my big lad in the spring after a winter of dressage and sj we will go pointing and then carry on with our attempt at eventing!!
Horses arent stupid, my boy knows the difference between his dressage saddle, his jumping saddle and the racing saddle (so does my bum!)
I would be more cross that she hasnt respected your express wishes.
