T is now rising 6, and although sweet, sensible, straight forward and v handsome (!), we are not really getting anywhere! Bought him just broken 18 months ago, have been out and about a bit at v low key shows (mostly successfully!), xc schooled etc. He's quite a big boy and has taken a while to grow up mentally and physically so we have spent the last 3 months just hacking and doing some little jumping clinics, which he loves. We are still at the 'walk and trot' test and 2'0 clear round stage, which is fine, but I feel like we need some direction! I am hoping that getting him fitter and building him up will make him stronger, which will help his flatwork and jumping. Is it OK that we're still a long way off Intro or British Novice? Any ideas/advice gratefully received!!

Aaah, thank you for that hch4971, makes me feel a bit better! I suppose when I think of my last baby horse, she was nearer 7 before we were consistently doing well. Thanks for your wise words.
