Can anyone give me some advice on what i should do please?

What do i do with a mare in foal that i can no longer keep?

I love my girl but i cannot keep her. She is due June time and then the foal will be weaned in December.

My plan was to put her out on loan and see how we both fare but now i know she's in foal i cannot do this. Do i bear with it until the foal is weaned then put her out on loan or try and sell her now with foal at foot? I really don't want to do this but not sure what my other options are. :(

p.s. please be kind feeling really low about this as its something i never thought i'd have to do
 
Firstly really sorry for you that you are in this position.

It really depends on why you cant keep them. If its financial reasons, i would say offer them up for sale as soon as possible. The whole process of foaling can cost a fortune and isnt one that should be entered into unless you have the resource to cover all eventualities.
 
Feel for you.
Advertise her now, but be honest in the advert and very picky about the people and home, it may take time but you will find the right person whether they be with foal at foot or once its weaned.

Try project horse.
