So we went to go see a new horse, and I instantly fell in love with her. We planned to go and see her again before we bought her, but the day before the owner let my mum know that she has potentially been sold to someone else. This made me cry my eyes out all night because I was so excited. My mum called the owner up today and offering more money than the others. Now I love my mum for doing this and it could lead to getting the horse but I feel so guilty that my mum has to pay more and Its just making me feel down and making me feel and sound like a spoilt brat.
Any opinions on what to do I really love this horse but I don't want to feel guilty?

As a mum it's what we do and I'm sure she wouldn't of done it if she couldn't afford to. You've got a lovely mum let her know how much you love her and I'm sure everything will be just fine xx

Ring, I would still want to try the horse a second time. Are you sure what she said is true because some sellers are not completely honest. I was in a bidding frenzy for daughter's last horse but was adamant she needed to try her out properly. Hope it all works out, us mums just want happy daughter's.

Your mum is lovely but however much you liked this horse, trust me it is never worth rushing in. I am sure you will find something else lovely which was meant to be soon...

Could just be the seller being sneaky.

Lots of people do this in an attempt to coerce buyers into making a move quickly.

You need to take a step back and think logically.
Yes horse seemed good, but you sensibly wanted another viewing, stick with that.
On a different day and in a different situation the horse might be different.

There could be a better horse out there.
The owner may also be fibbing to get a sale and get more money from you.

seller may well be honest, but could also easily be dishonest and trying to either rush you into a quick sale or trying to get more money out of your mum. plenty more fish in the sae as they say, don't be rushed.

Honey buying horses is kinda like buying houses just when you think you have seen the very best one, another one comes along even better. Make sure you try the pony out again before you rush in. I know it's hard to wait but your pony will come along, please hang in there. I worry they are trying to scare you into buying before you spot something wrong, horrid thought I know.

If the owner has accepted an offer she has entered into a legal contract to sell the horse. I'd just leave it, plenty more fish in the sea. If seller does come back I'd want to know why the sale didn't go through, try the horse again and if it is really suitable, then I'd negotiate over price. Don't ever get "bumped" into raising your offer when you are not even sure if it's the right horse for you

Thank you so much for all of the advice everyone has given me, unfortunately the other offer was accepted and she has been sold. But on the upside she has got three new ponies she has revived this week and we are going to see all three this week and hopefully at least one should work out.
