I was at Bold Heath on Sunday, did the intro with Sov, who has really improved greatly this month and the following happened!
In the showjumping we had a green stop at the 1st part of the double, he got his legs tangled and managed to unload me very gently out the front door, I remounted (cursing about restarting over the double) and was clear until we were coming to the 7th fence (away from the gate) he napped and spun round once (2nd stop) I got him going forward and he carried on and jump the last three clear as well.
Went and got ready and went straight over to the XC as times were fairly close and I wanted to get home asap, set off on the XC like a star, was clear until we got eliminated at the water, which he does need more practice with.
So we undressed him cooled him off and set off home.
As I was pulling in the drive, friend rings to say they are calling me over the tannoy, so she told them that I had gone home.
Today I spoke to another friend who said that I was in trouble for going xc after being eliminated sj??? The tannoy and buzzer in the sj was really low, so if they did eliminate me I didnt hear it, but then I think they might of thought it was BSJA were 2 stops = E????
Should I contact BE or wait to see what happens????
Sorry long and complicated at this time of night!!!

no, its just i was in straight after you!
i watched you go around!
that tannoy was very quiet but your friend watching at the gate knew you were eliminated?
she said to us you were just proving a point getting him over the rest of the course

Ahh the proving the point, was a change in tactics! We have been trying the 'not reacting' to his paddys and have decided he was taking the P*** slightly, so after I had sorted my reins out and given him a smack, it was interesting the way he reacted for the rest of the course. (Have been having huge issues with him in the showjumping!)
But if I only had 2 stops/refusals I shouldnt have been Eliminated??
What no were you and how did you get on?

Did you cross your tracks? That could have been how you got the 3rd penalty. If it comes to worst think you will be given a caution or a fine.

when he started turning around in the corner for about 5 mins they decided that you had crossed your tracks.
he did about 5 circles!
or possibly they eliminated you because they thought it was dangerous?
i was on a 16hh grey no 58
i was hc cos im a junior who joined this year so im having to do the new qualifying thing and my horsey has points
i would have come 2nd otherwise

I dont think so, basically he stands still and whips round (a la TB) and then either threatens to rear or goes numb! So its not like we go anywhere, big improvement though because last month we got E'd at unaff sj for a tantrum and he wouldnt budge off his paddy spot in the middle of the ring!!!!!!!

But this time it was one whip round, a clout with the stick and off again.

did he do it more than once!!! If he does more than one I usually fall off, maybe it just doesnt feel as bad now I am used to it! Sometimes its hard to tell, didnt feel like any time at all, you are exaggerating, arent you?

Well done btw, are you going to Kelsall?

oh ha ha, i may be eggagerating about the 5 mins but he definately did more than one, mabye the eliminated you because you exceeded the time??
