We don't really do "showing" in France, so I'm fascinated about all of the different types of classes there are in the UK.

Hypothetically speaking, what classes would my boy fit into?

He is 163cm (16.1 (almost)), and has 11.5in bone

Or would I just be limited to "foreign breed" (that's OK too ;) )

He does not look as if he has 11.5in of bone, that would make him a heavyweight/ maxi cob which he is not, working and ridden hunter would be the classes for him.

I am not familiar with his breed - merens ? so he might be a good example of one but conformationally he doesn't fit into any type here - he's not a hunter, cob, riding / sport horse, hypothetically or otherwise. Sorry

Poor Blitz, he doesn't quite fit in anywhere. ;) Although not officially "over height" as there is no height limit any more, but the ideal male stands 155cm, and he is 163cm, so I'm always being asked if he is pure bred. It's a good thing I love him lol!

Cute whatever! Two of mine also don't fit a type ;) He's not quite as overweight as you think- 163 is about dead on 16hh!
