Taking my mare to her first show in a few weeks and I don't know whether she's best in a coloured class or a cob class.

I am leaning towards the coloured because I will definitely never hog her...is she okay to do that, and to be left untrimmed and unplaited?

I know you don't have to trim/plait natives and I think she has some welsh in her but I don't know her actual breeding...is she still a native type though?

TIA.

That photo is from a few months ago, her mane falls on the other side and i can't get it to come over...

Not a cob in my eyes so coloured and turned out as native type. That means unplaited but tidied so no scraggly long mane etc. had a look at some show pictures to see what you're aiming for

Plain workman like tack

I would also say coloured native type, subtle tidying up, plain browband, cavesson noseband.

not to be confused with an M&M 'proper' native pony though, so definitely not that class

A native coloured is a bit of a niche type (not like a coloured cob that can do both cob and coloured classes) but you could do the family pony type classes as well as the coloured ones

What height is she? Is there a light weight cob class any more? Havn't seen one for ages and wonder if it is still offered. She's not a pony, not a horse, so really can only be a cob.
