What silly things is your horse scared of?

Where do i start! Shes still scared of having her mane sprayed (despite having a long mane and it being sprayed every time shes groomed) Shes scared of her own shadow at times. If there is any kind of mark/line/change of colour etc on tarmac it requires a bit of riverdance before its safe to step over. Shes a bit of a coward in general tbh, most things are traumatic for her haha :)

The not tractor is my favorite. When the big horse came we had a few moments with tractors - hence lots of them driving in his turnout field and other work to fit it.
My OH then parked a tractor right at the end of the school - he was absolutely fine didn't even look- very pleased mummy after a couple of weeks it was moved.

Then the space where the tractor used to be was SCARY!!!! for weeks, throwing ourselves into the middle of the school time after time after time ! so the not tractor is a winner at the moment!

The sound of carrots being snapped in half. He has to go through it several times a day, and jumps like he's been shot every single time. Fool!

Rounds of tree trunk used to stop people driving on a local verge. He looks at the first one suspiciously, looks and snorts at the second, and it all goes downhill the further we go along the line of them. By the time we get to the 11th, and final one, he is in complete meltdown, and tries to whip round and run home - past the ten stumps he has spooked at...

Shetland ponies - he is terrified of them and their smallness :D He is also highly suspicious of cows and sheep. However, doesnt blink an eyelid at the 14:40 express train from Edinburgh flying past him at 100mph

His own shadow  and didn't you know that the jumps along the side of the arena are perfectly fine to walk or trot past but dear god they are petrifying to canter past  strangely enough they're fine to jump over....

My old horse didnt like anything yellow - salt bins, yellow farm machinery (all other colours acceptable!) Yellow road markings

Younger mare has a thing about baby animals. Lambs, calves, foals, puppies are all out to get her. She is fine with adult versions!

I never see what Meg spooks at, she just likes to put the odd one in to keep me awake ;) She's practically bombproof just sharp sometimes.
Nesta is scared of everything
Ok, not everything but she usually walks around doing a welsh dragon impression, snort snort snort! I can drag the hessian hay sack around her thats fine, but scrunch up some plastic or show her a carrier bag and she is GONE!:rolleyes:

The little colt at work who is usually an angel to lead out had a flip out the other day as the tractor was parked somewhere different! God love him

99% of the time, nothing but when he's in one of 'those' moods anything and everything. He was in one of those yesterday so we spooked at a new tarmac, a traffic cone, a bird in a hedge, a parked car (well the window was open ) something else that I couldn't identify and and best of all his own poo. He pooed on the way out and spooked at it on the way home. This is a horse who isn't bothered by JCBs, lorries, double decker buses, helicopters, low flying aircraft or paragliders.
