I am looking at getting a Dually for Blue. He is a 14hh Fell pony and I am unsure as to what size to get him. He has a pony size headcollar that is on the last hole and ideally he could maybe do with a cob size.

Do the Dually's have a wide fitting range? I don't want to order one and it not fit!

I find they come up big. My mare is usually full size and we have the "black" medium size dually, and that is on the smaller holes. You need it fitted quite snug in order for it to have a good effect and not slip.

The red one will be ample big enough!

I have a red one for my CB youngster and it fits her with room to spare. I also have a black one for my big heavyweight cob.

Great piece of kit!

I'd get a Richard Maxwell rope halter instead. Gives better release IMO and one size fits all.

The Dually's does not release fast enough at all for my liking.
The RM Halter is fab.

I've got a black one but it is a tiny bit big - my girl is somewhere between a cob and a full bridle.

I do sware by it for loading

Duallys are really strange sizes, massively over sized. My 17hh IDx has a COB sized one

The full size one was massive on him. You can see the size of his head (it's quite big, even for a 17hh body...proper old fashioned hunting type) in my signature pics... You won't need a wide fitting one, they're adjustable all around anyway. Mine has his cob size one done about half way up all around.
