What size exercise sheet?

Where do i measure to for an exercise sheet? Fed up of horse getting rained on out hacking and not being able to rug up til he's dry!

He takes a 5'6 rug (short back) and is 15'2 so any estimates as to what sort of size would be really helpful as there's a few on ebay that look pretty good. In fact i got a bit click happy and bid on one already that i don't even know if it will fit! 5 days to go so should escape from having to buy it by then lol

They only do a few sizes of exercise sheet.
One of my boys is 17.2hh and the biggest they do is 4ft9 this isnt really big enough for him but he has to make do!

Its measured from the wither to the top of the tail in a striaght line

I measure from just in front of wither to just over top of tail, so you have some shoulder cover. My lad is 16'0, takes a 6ft rug (short back) and I put him in a 5ft exercise sheet, although could have done with an inch bigger, but it does the job.

thanks, think i will have to measure, that's a huge difference between different sized horses. I know, i shouldn't be surprised! I wanted to just click click click, but will have to wait til tomorrow night now
