So this may be a very random question, or someone may have already asked it, but bear with me!

What size is your horse in bridles, rugs, saddles etc etc, and what is his or her height, weight and general size?

I guess I'm asking out of interest, as my boy wears some very random sizes and I'm interested to see what others are like!

(P.s funky photos of snazzy horse outfits more than welcome! :p :D )

my girl is a welsh pb her dam was part arab so she's fine for a welshie she's still growing but around 14.3/15hh at the moment unsure of weight, she wears a full browband, cob sized bridle and could probably do with a pony sized throatlatch :D Travel boots she's a cob and rugs she's between 5'9 and 6'0. Numnah I got was Full as it was wither Full or Pony but think she would probably be good in a Cob :)

I have a 16.2hh Id/warm blood x type
He wears 6'9 rugs and full size in most things although I will occasionally fine some stuff like headcollars too small!
Other is 15hh and takes 5'9 or 6' rugs and cob size everything's!

My 15hh cob wears 6'6 rugs, his bridle has a full size head piece, cob size cheek pieces, extra full noseband and browband!
His saddle is 17" wide/extra wide.

My chestnut gelding is the most difficult of mine to buy 'off the peg' things for. Bridle wise he has an XF browband and the rest is a pony size stubben CTD. Bits are proving a challenge as he seems to need 4 3/4 inch ones. His headcollar is pony size (but it's generous, so more like a small cob/large pony). Rugs are 5ft9 just, he's almost 6ft in some makes. I have some rugs that I needed to shorten the surcingles on as they were far too long, but his new fly rug (PE) only just goes long enough. He's not been measured recently (and he's still growing) but he's not quite as tall as my chestnut mare who is 15.2hh.

Mine vary from the smallest pony- 3ft9 rugs and foal headcollars for my mini Shettie, to the largest pony- 5ft6 or occasionally 5ft9 rugs and cob size bridles/headcollars for my 13.2hh New Forest.

Breed: New Forest
Height: 14.2hh
Weight: Roughly 430kg
Bridle/headcollar: Cob
Rugs: 6'0
Saddle: 17 wide/extra wide saddle

Breed: Highland
Height: 14.2hh
Weight: Roughly 470kg
Bridle/headcollar: Cob (full noseband)
Rugs: 6'0 / Flyrug - 5'9
Saddle: 17 medium/wide saddle

My 3 are all Warmbloods 17-17.2hh

Bridle/Headcollar: 2x Full 1x XFull
Rugs: 2x 6ft9 1x 6ft9/7ft
Saddle: 1x 17.5 Medium 1x 17.5 Medium/Wide 1x 17.5 Wide

Highland
14.1 (shoes give him an extra boost to full 14.1!)

Rugs: 6,3ft
Headcollar: Impossible- cob too small, full is too big! Has a *small* full at the minute!
Girth: 46"
Saddle: 9" So med/wide?
Boots: Cob
Saddlepad: Full

Bridle... well that's a different ballgame!

Extra full browband.
Full noseband
Cob cheekpieces
Cob reins
5 1/2" bit

I have a very confusing weirdo horse no one ever believes his sizes, He is a 15'1hh American paint horse and looks like a well built throughbred on a good day (lacking in muscles at the mo as been off poorly)
He takes a big 6'3 or 6'6 rug. a Cob to full bridle and headcollar, he has a freakishly wide spine and big shoulders and takes a wide saddle much to everyone's amusement who thinks he's a narrow medium to look at put his saddle on friends dales cob and it was too wide!

15hh welsh cob-
Cob bridles on biggest holes, or full on smallest. Full headcollars. 6 foot rugs and 17" W saddles. Struggling to find him boots that fit?

13.3 heinz 57 MW
Pony bridles with the odd cob part (browband) 5'6 rugs and 16.5-17.5 W saddle, takes them all.

13.3 70% arab (in sig)
Pony bridles if they're long in the head style :p. Pony headcollars. 5 foot rugs, 16inch XW saddle.

Mine:
Height 15.2hh
Type: small hunter
Weight: 580kg (none of it fat)
Rugs: 6ft6 and most look like mini skirts on him the PE ones are just long enough
Saddle: 18 inch xwide
Bridle: full
Bit: 5.5"

CF
14.3 without shoes on.
MW chunky Cob
Weight: 560ish
Bridle size: FS headpiece & browband, cob cheeks, noseband usually FS which is shortened behind cheeks (need the width across front of nose)
Bit: 5.5 for jointed
Saddle: 17" & wide fit.
Headcollar: FS on top hole, Cob on lowest hole :rolleyes3:
Rugs: PE trio is 6ft as also the PE 1680 40g purple one, (forgotten name), all other rugs from other makers are 6ft 3 Mark Todd and Horseware, tho all fit same but PE is deeper.

Breed: Lightweight cob (looks part Welsh)
Height: 15hh
Weight: Fat. I'm unsure.

Bridle Size: currently in a cob, but parts are full. Cob can be too small, full too big.
Bit Size: 5.5 for a double jointed.
Saddle: both of his are 17" MW Albions, but he has had to have both adjusted and reflocked to fit his shoulders.
Girth: Currently a 48 (I'm rather embarrassed) although he is normally around a 44-42. However he is in the 48 girth on his jumping saddle, and still squeezing into a 44 on his normal one.
Headcollar: Cob, although the same ones some days fit on the top hole, other the last!
Rugs: 6"6 (although they are long on his legs and bum but give him enough room for his neck and shoulder), 6"3 for his cooler for some reason.
Boots: Full tendon boots/brushing boots. Overreach boots vary between medium and large depending on the brand.

He is an extreme oddity, lol. Cob head on a huge neck and shoulders, and then a Welsh cob-type body with short pony legs.

Mines a 15hh traditional cob :)
He is a 6'3 rug size
Cob travel boots (he could do with full as his legs are too fat but full come up too long :/)
Cob numnah
Full sized bridle but needs a cob nose and and brow band
His saddle is only 16' as I'm pretty small and he has a rather short back
Cob headcollar
And boots vary as he is quite chunky :)

Breed: ISH, quite TB-like in build but still solid.
Height: 16.1hh
Weight: 550 kgs (approx)
Rug size: 6'3" (he's quite short-coupled)
Saddle size: 18" MW
Bridle size: Cob with a full size browband
Saddle pad/numnah size: full
Boots: M in front, L at back. XL overreach boots!

I have three horses, who are all a bit random in their sizing. I find Pony, Cob, Hack about as useful as Small, Medium and Large.

Connie x tb gelding
16'1
560kg
Full size head/legs/hooves etc
17.5 medium wide saddle
6'9 rug (6'6 in master)

Connie x tb mare
15'1
510kg
full size head, legs etc, but she is much finer than the gelding, so probably would get away with some cob stuff
saddle was 17 inch extra wide when she was in work, but she also weighed about 560kg then! shes 30 and retired now (half the girl she used to be)
6'3 rug

Mini Shetland
31 inches
not sure on weight
Foal/xs small head
no saddle
3'3 rug

H/W cob gelding
14.1/14.2hh
430kg
Full size bridle but needs cob cheek pieces and 6" bit
17" XW saddle
6' rugs
I have to bandage legs for travelling if needed as cob boots aren't wide enough yet full are far too long. Haven't tried to find brushing boots etc for him yet and hope I don't need to!

My 13.3/14hh new forest weights roughly 350-400kg. 5ft6 rug, 17 inch saddle with extra wide gullet, full size saddle pads, 44/46 inch girth (fatty pony!) cob sized bridle/headcollar, he has short legs so wears xsmall/small boots. He doesn't come across as that chunky but has a back like a table :o

16.3hh Dutch Warmblood, very long neck and large head but short coupled at 6'6''.
Saddle medium width, Full or large in most everything else except head collar which is XL and over reach boots which he needs to wear two pairs of 24/7 and these are XXL.
I find you generally find one or two brands that fit your shape of horse well and a lot that are terrible. For me, Premier Equine is the perfect fit for my boy in rugs and though in 6'6'' by default they supply a medium neck they're happy to send out a large instead. Combo rugs from anyone, the necks never seem to be long enough!
