what size jacket?

I need a new hacking Jacket- my old one is brown as I had a bay before- I need a grey/blue tweed for my grey yearling. BUT- it struggling to work out the sizes. My old jacket has 3 measurements on it- 10-36 (38 EU)

now the arm legnth on it is about half inch too short but a little big round the chest. I have measured round my chest and its 35inches. Now I've seen some at 36 which are apparently a size 12 (im an 8 ) and some that say 36 is an 8 and some that say they are a 10. Its driving me mad- I cant get out to the saddlery this week- got things planned- so need to order online. Can someone help me with how certain brands measure up?
 
My caldene is a size 36 and im a 34 inch chest approx. Think this is a size 12/14? Though this still has too short sleeves for me, but better around the chest whilst still flattering. My Just Togs was a size 10 and was 32 inch chest, very short arms. I would always go a size bigger than smaller IMO or perhaps 1 or 2 sizes up from chest size?
