I'm looking to buy some jods/breeches off the internet, but I'm not entirely sure about sizing. I don't live in the UK so I can't go and try them on to see the fit, and sizing here is the same for jods and normal clothes.

I'm a size 8 normally, but quite tall (5'8 or so). I have some Dublin pull on jods which are kids size 28 and they fit ok, I assume the adult size 28 would be too big?
I do think I have a pair of riders jods which are 28 but they're far too big on me.
Also, the shires saddlehuggers hipsters, given that they're on the hips and not waist, do I need to allow for that and go a size bigger?

i would go to your local tack shop and try them on then you know what brands what sizes you need ( i'm not a 8 i havent been one since i was 16:( )

the 28 size is waist size, so i doubt as a size 8 you'd need that. lucky you!
i'm a 10-12 with 27" waist and i wear a 28L.
so, i think you would probably need a 24 or 24L or maybe a 26 (i buy bigger for winter so they're a tiny bit loose, makes them warmer!)
most makes are true to size, fwiw. if they have full-seat stickybum it can make them a bit tighter as this part isn't as stretchy as fabric.
hope that helps a bit!

I am a size 10 and wear 26" being a size 8 I would try 24" possibly 26" as well as the size may vary on brands although most don't but I have a pair of 24" I fit into and I am not that small.
