Probably a silly question but I'm buying new stirrup irons and have no idea what size to buy! I'm a size 5 shoe - does that make any difference/

Does anyone have any idea please?!!

It depends on the width of your foot. Should have a few cm's clearance either side. Best to go into your local tack shop try a few see what size is best and then order online ( if you were planning on ordering online obviously)

In the unfortunate circumstances it is the incorrect size, I may have made a typo error

It depends on the width of your foot with whatever boot on that you ride in, best to go and try different sizes. You are supposed to have room either side of your boot for it to be safe. I am size 5 but ride in tyne boots which are big so I have 5" irons for safety! Hope this helps!

There should be enough room for you to fit a finger between your foot and the iron - but not so wide that your foot can slip through. Good old Pony Club Manual of Horsemanship!!
