I am trying to work out what the most popular sizes of rugs are, is it like fashion where in the sales all the size 6 shoes are gone and you then automatically think you have big feet, but the truth it size 6 is the most popular size! ;)

If you get a spare second please can you vote in my pole?...

As a guess before and votes are cast I'm guessing that 6'3'' and 6'6'' will be the most popular sizes......

Mine are 5ft6, 6ft6 and 6ft9, as above i too reckon 6ft3 and 6ft 6's are the most bought size rugs, as i've often got bargains in sales for my horses that are 5ft6 and 6ft9, but my 6ft6 horse never gets a bargain!

I can never find 6'3'' rugs at equine boot fairs or the like! Jasmine is a serial rug trasher, God knows how she manages it! She can also wiggle out of rugs with fillet strings, up and over her head, onto the ground, then she savages them with teeth and feet :D so they have to have leg straps and she is very ticklish and tries to boot you when you do them up.
Probably why she is naked nearly all year, good job she is a rufty-tufty TB and not a wimp :D

I have a 13.3 & 2 14.2's, they all are in a 6ft rug. My 13.3 so chunky thats why he is 6ft. It's good tho as I can swap rugs about if need be as they all the same size :)

14.3 is in a 5'9 could probably fit in a 5'6 but the belly straps didnt go long enough on her last! and 17.2 is in a 6'6 -perfect for him as 6'3 misses his bum and 6'9 is far too long!

Have ticked the 6ft 3ins but horse sometimes wears a 6ft 6in depending on make

Don't get bargains very often which is not great as horse only now has 1 intact turnout rug, he and the horses in his field rip each others rugs, their favourite game in winter is to hold the back of each others rug so they can't walk in the mud - think cartoon scene

I had a pleasant surprise when my new boy arrived! I've always had big horses, and used to either struggle to find, or pay through the nose for 7ft3 rugs. Alf is 17hh, and not insubstantial, but he officially takes a 6"9, and judging by this pic, could probably wear a 6"6 as long as it was generously cut at the shoulder. Nice to have a normal sized horse for once!
