I know this may seem a very noddy question but I've never bought travel boots before and I don't want to waste money on the wrong size. I have a 15.3 relatively fine ISH gelding who now needs to get out and about.

He yo yos between cob and full in everything.

He's in cob front brushing boots but full at the back.

I'm looking at Masta and Weatherbeeta boots. Any suggestions would be most welcome!

Mine is slightly smaller than yours at 14.2hh but wears cob size travel boots. You need a make that will come up fine though. We have GFS for the ISH - but his stablemate has weatherbeeta cob size and they come up too big on the ISH. They're OK height wise but just don't fasten tight enough for his fine legs. You might want to opt for the masta in the first instance? I've not had masta boots for years because they come up too fine for cobby boy so might suit you better.

I would say cob as well. I have a fine 16hh gelding and have just bought him full size travel boots and they are huge on him.

My fine ISH doesn't wear travel boots as they never do up tight enough unless they are too short. She wears over reach boots, brushing boots and knee boots. If she wasn't such a fidget I'd bandage.
