What stallion for my Dallas mare?? Any advice please??

This is my first forum, so excuse the inexperience!! I have a 7/8 TB Dallas mare, who has been a fabulous horse. She's a little sharp (but I like that!!) and has evented to novice level, winning 14 points. She has BSJA winnings and is now working at advanced medium dressage. She is just 16hh and ideally I would like something about 16.1, to event. From her photos, which stallion do you think will improve her? She has never been sick, sorry or lame, which I truly know is very important for an eventer!!! I would like, if possible to keep as much blood as possible, although some of the lighter warmbloods may be ok?? All comments would be appreciated?? PS, struggling to load the photos, how do I do that?
 
She sounds lovely but we need pics!

If you go into the photo forum at the bottom of the main index one of the first posts tells you how to list photo's. It's quite simple once you get the right tools

some one has put a link on for the photos for the Bramham stallion parade, there are some nice stallions on show. Have a look that may help
 
Hi, we have a stunning filly by Billy Be Cool out of a Dallas mare or if you want to stay more T.B we stand Primo Pageant

We went to see Billy Be Cool today and saw all the progeny that he has at the stud, they were all fantastic and very correct youngstock, and the filly that Lisa is talking about is STUNNING!!! Would really consider using him on your mare I think that he would really compliment her. Primo was lovely too!
 
Future Illusion is producing awesome stock and I think we will be seeing a lot to come from him and his babies in the future.

There is also always Kings Composer who has produced fab youngstock and is now starting to have his stock appear under saddle and doing very well.
 
Have you looked at Wish Upon a Star, he stands at Grafham stud. He's only a young stallion but I recently saw a foal by him that was gorgeous.
 
I have also seen a foal by him owned by a lady who at the county shows promotes the stallions from this stud. It was out of a part warmblood mare and the general agreement around the ring was "maybe it should have been left at home"!. The winner of this strong class was actually by another stallion which has been suggested by Eventrider Kings Composer - the dam looked well but nothing really to catch the eye but the foal - stunning! I think he also sired the winning foal in the previous class - but dont hold me to that.
 
Looking at the photos, and seeing as you'd like to stay lighter then a Takehner might suit her ideally.

In the UK Contis produced a lovely first crop of foals and he is a lovely lighter stamp, the same stud also standing Godington Hanibal who evented to advanced level and on the Swedish team, but I prefer Contis's stock of the two (based on them as foals)

British owned but standing in Germany is Axis (but easy to get semen)- we have a 4yo by him who is a superb jumper, major winner inhand at County level, and has been a lamb to back. Axis has a super jumping/eventing pedigree but is himself competing at PSG dressage. His graded sons show super jumping ability too.

Another one I would recommend, beautiful moving young horse and our new colt by him is out of this world is Herzensdieb. Again stands in Germany but stud excellent to work with

Contis would be the lighter framed of those and Axis the heavier, but all still modern types.
 
Hey, after a year of deciding, my mare has just come back from Twemlows Hall, where she was AI'ed with Jumbo. She did have twin embryos and had one pinched out and I am now nervously waiting for the heart beat scan next week!! How can it be this sressful, when nothing had really happened yet??? Fingers crossed xx
 
Well, the heartbeat scan was ok and the next one was too! She's now 5 months and getting a little round. I've just started backing off a little, as it seems only fair! She was even in H&H last month, under the dressage round up, after winning an Elementary test. The vet's coming on Friday for the 5 month jab. She seems to be taking it in her stride. I saw another post recently, with another mare owner, requesting stallion advice, Handley Barns Bambee. My mare, Handley Barns Spring was bred at the same stud and is by Handley Barns Grandee! Wish me luck....
