My daughter used to complain (-and I used to tell her to stop moaning!) about a achy foot when riding her pony. She's not ridden him in a long time but I have and my foot (same side) started to ache! - much to her great amusement ;)
So I need to get new stirrups presumably as we have a saddler due this week and hopefully will crack on with riding again.
Safety is most important to me. Pony can be difficult and I fear either me of worse her being dragged if we came off.
What are the safest but comfiest and most stable stirrups, without costing the earth please?

Personally I like this style http://www.discount-equestrian.co.u...compositi-reflex-shock-absorbing-stirrup.html for riding my girl as she can be a bit of a twit and I find they give a better grip

However I know people who have various aches ect who like the sprenger style flexi stirrups http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/1710...ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=66&ff19=0

Its all a bit trial and error, do you have people who can let you try different styles until you find ones you're comfortable with?
