I plan to take him out BE eventing this spring/summer and am getting him all kitted out as he came with nothing. One thing I'm questioning is the need for a stud girth. I think this would be wise as I hope to take him Novice before the end of the season plus he really snaps his feet up over the jump - all the pictures I took show his feet touching his chest. I don't want to spend a lot of money but at the same time I want a good one. He has only recently been fully clipped and is a TB and quite sensitive so would want one with really thick soft padded leather or a neoprene lining or sheepskin lining. Any ideas and/or recommendations? Also, do I only need to put the stud girth on when he's going cross-country with studs in or should I use it anytime I jump him - indoor/outdoor/SJ/XC/no studs/studs?

Comfort Zone stud girth is fantastic and cheap. Are really neat, and comfy for the horse. Mine doesnt try and bite me when I put it on which is a first!! I only use one when have studs in, so not indoor stuff.

Second the comfort zone stud girth - i have the short one (for single flap saddles) brilliant!

Although if anyone knows how i can get my martingale to stay put attached to it then let me know

Just get one that has the martingale bit done up with a buckle and not a billet, the billet ones tend to come undone. I've got a lovely John Whitaker one.

Am i being very thick but on the comfort zone website when you click on the product from the drop down menu nothing happens? Help, i want to look!

Don't know if anyone will see this as it's several pages in now but thank you for all your stud girth recommendations! Decided to go for the comfort zone one and it arrived today - looks great - love the way it's so soft and bendy, definitely can't see it rubbing him which was my main concern, so many thanks!!
