As title really :D I'm just bored and curious!
I was making my feed and thought jeeeez what a cocktail my horse gets!
So what suppliments do you feed and why? Do you think they work?
My pony gets:
Seaweed and Linseed - for her skin because shes constantly covered hives! It seems to work! :D
Oestress- Because Buffy gets so tense when shes in season I can barely ride her she won't relax. We will see if it works on her next season!
Garlic - I dunno I have just always fed it and I love the smell of it in her feed haha!
Izzi :D

None! I am sceptical of anything that makes marketing men lots of money :) I am sure they prob do no harm but equally sure that a horse with access to good grass and hay does not need much else for the level of work that most people give them. Then again, I realise a lot of owners may not be fortunate enough to have access to ad lib grass and hay.

Unfortunately we have next to no winter turnout :(
The linseed and seaweed has really helped her mind! She had to start again on her jabs and came out in hives!! The lovely people of HHO recommended linseed oil and for her second lot of jabs she had only one on the injection site! I am usually sceptical believe it or not but I have admitted defeat! :D

Pony gets Brewer's Yeast

TB gets
Equine America Magnitude
Equine America Hoof Power Plus-supplied by vet

The HPP is expensive (£40+) but lasts 3-4 months, the Magnitude is £18.99 and lasts 6 months

Fella currently gets marmite (not really a supp but an added extra!), brewers yeast and linseed, all for sweetitch. The marmite and brewers yeast deffo make a difference, don't know about the linseed as have only just started feeding it.
Also got "Think Itch" on the way, added on recommendation.

My boys get baileys lo-cal, fast fibre and good quality haylage, dont think they need anything else, both are glowing and happy.

Both girls get:

Garlic
Global Herbs general vit and min supplement (the hay is poor quality and there's not that much grass - they have less of it in summer)
Biotin

equus winterglow/summer shine....

Beau is also on Rig calm because he`s not the easiest but then again my mares a tart so winds him up
