Ok, so the weather has been pants. He had been confined to stable and yard for 3 days. Had back done, had legs scanned, had vet for suspected colic. ALL sorted now. Back showed deviation at pelvis to right hand side probably due to poll injury. Re-aligned. Near fore showed old check ligament injury, nothing new to worry about. Colic fears ungrounded. So, gave him few days off and rode out gently. EXCEPT he had different ideas. He was so 'athletic' bucking, squealing and even rearing when I chastised him. What a naughy boy! He is feeling good. Have ridden him out for 2 days now and he's full of it. Might take him indoor jumping next week, just 2ft 3" to start. I just want a 'nice' round. Do you think I should wait a week or two, bearing in mind he is fit and eager to work! xx
