what the heck do i do now? selling advice (again, sorry :( )

Hi, think you are quite near me (I'm N Lincs/South Yorks)? If so, there is the boxing day hunt with Grove and Rufford - goes from the Crown at Bawtry.

I had to sell at 13.3 'been there, done it' pony on behalf of my friend last year as she had emmigrated to Australia and we tried all the websites - Horsemart, PC etc and also put him on various local Facebook pages (there are a few like 'Horses For Sale/Loan in Yorkshire' and variations of that!). We finally sold a few weeks later via Preloved to the first people who viewed him so don't rule it out. There are actually some pretty nice horses/ponies on there at the moment - and not just cheapies either....good luck! :D
 
Thanks cazzah, I'm actually about 15/20mins away from Bawtry, but unfortunately already have arrangements with family on boxing day :( I will defo try preloved too! xx
 
Get to Osberton on New Years Day with the Readyfield Bloodhounds - not too far from you and is always a good hunt ;) (Gutted that Wib is not fit enough for it this year)

He does sound like a cracking pony - if I know of anyone looking I will be sure to pass on the word!
 
WHP ponies that can jump a big track are worth a lot of money, especially if he's quite an easy ride and can go in a snaffle. I think your daughter is too old to ride him in 14 hand classes (it used to be 14 years old) so have you got anybody who could ride him and qualify him for the Winter Champs? If he got to those and did well, I'm sure that you would get interest in him. Have you any pics you could put on here?
 
I would just readvertise, forget about the flexion test (wouldn't bother a lot of buyers, as many threads on here have shown) and sit back and wait. It just takes time, especially in winter. Everyone who came to see him liked him, as the show season gets nearer, people will start looking more (we sold my stepson's pony last Sept but didn't plan to look for another until late Feb to save a bit of money over winter..). If daughter doesn't quite get another in time for the start of the season it won't be the end of the world.
