(how would we feel if a bunch of people from another culture filmed each other gagging and laughing trying to eat something that we eat and saying how disgusting it is) and now this.

I eat intestine. We call it chinchulin and I think it's absolutely delicious. Lots of people who come over think it's gross. Doesn't bother me in the least. You may gag and laugh as much as you like

On the other hand the thought of jellied eels turns my stomach. Does this offend you?

It wasn't the worst thing I've seen by a long way, but watching it was a bit uncomfortable. The horses were really getting socked in the mouth while trying to swim, and one of the riders was overweight and totally unbalanced - he nearly came off on dry land then came off in the water, his foot was stuck in the stirrup, and I did think there was going to be a very nasty accident. He was lucky not to have been dragged.

I don't think it was right to use the horses in this way, these people weren't even novices - they were absolute non-riders. They didn't have the right equipment either - they should have been using safety stirrups as they did not have the right footwear, and neck straps. The horses weren't panicked but they did look stressed, and there was no need for this. The TV company could have chosen lots of other ways to get them into the camp, or they could have chosen riders to do this challenge - instead they placed the people and horses into a bad and potentially dangerous situation. Very irresponsible.

Just another reason why 'I don't watch, I'm not famous at all and you've never heard of me, now switch this cr@p off before it rots your brain' (did I get the title right?)

I think what people are saying about the 'poor grub' comments is that we find it distasteful that animals are killed in the name of entertainment. I'm a meat eater, but I eat it for sustenance. I don't find it entertaining to watch the cow being slaughtered.
Yes, a grub is different from a cow, but surely a life is a life?

I've ridden a few times in the Okavango Delta and we often swim the horses there. BUT... this is with experienced riders and one of the things that is always drummed into everyone is not to use the reins at all - we knot them and throw them forward and hold onto the horse's manes.
The event on Celebrity seems to have been totally without any thought for horse or rider

I saw this clip & Jimmy White falling off the horse with his foot stuck in the stirrup still, how dangerous, lucky horse stayed calm.
Felt sorry for the poor horses with the celebs yanking them about.

that was one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever had to watch. I do not believe for one second that ITV can justify doing that - programs like I'm a Celebrity are supposed to be "entertaining" well that definetely was not.
I hope that the horses don't have to swin across rivers like that regularly with complete novices on board them.

disgraceful! horses should be able to swim but not with novice riders. that horse that got tangled in the tree looked terrified. who thought that was a good idea?!!!

tut tut

Get over yourselves!!!! Swimming is very normal exercise for horses especially in Oz. The horses on this show are trained to do this with complete numpties on their backs.
The correct way to swim a horse is on your back with your legs around its neck - it pushes you along. Across rivers or off the beach straight into the ocean. Bunbury in Western Australia has an annual estuary swimming race, everyone brings their thoroughbreds or standardbreds in training, it is at least 500m across. Go and watch it you may learn something.
